Purchasing process for visitors and nonvisitors

Thank you for expressing interest in our horses. We hope we get a chance to work with you and be able to help you find the perfect horse or pony for your needs. We get many inquiries about our horses and ponies on a daily basis, and also few requests to visit our ranch and see the horses we have available for sale.

Appointments to Black Hills Ranch are limited and are only available to serious potential buyers because our horses sell quickly, however if you are very interested in a horse, then you should submit the contact form on our website and indicate the horse or horses you want to purchase and consider putting a refundable deposit.

Due to our busy schedule with all of the horses and cattle in the ranch as well as handling appointments for people that want to come “try” a few horses, we no longer schedule visit appointments without a 40% refundable deposit on the horse or horses we’re asked to hold, of course it can always be transferred to a different horse if clientele comes and fall in love with a different one! It is also refundable in the unlikely event that the horses aren’t suitable for you when you get here. We do not hold horses or turn down a sale to another buyer without a deposit and a signed agreement.

Bank Wire Transfer is our preferred payments methods. Zelle and CashApp payments are also allowed.

Black Hills Ranch is a Binance.us partner thus, cryptocurrency payment is allowed with a 10% discount off the total purchase price when paying with cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoins, Ethereum, USDT, Monero, USDC etc.

We do not accept cashiers checks or money orders. We accept personal checks, but the horse may not be picked up for two weeks to allow time for check to clear the bank.

Once you’ve decided on a horse or pony, we have a Sale Contract or Agreement that we will email to you to view the purchase terms and conditions and then sign and return. Most of our customers send a bank wire for payment. It’s just as easy and secure as a check, however it speeds up the process and allows us to get shipping scheduled faster rather than waiting on an out-of-state check to clear.

We try and do our very best at matching the horse and rider on the front end, but there are rare instances where for whatever reason things don’t work out, normally we can help you work through those issues, but sometimes it necessitates making a change, in the event that you do have to make a change within the first 30 days, we will make a full refund of your payment or find you another suitable replacement depending on what you decide.
