Aurora, Rory for short, is 5 years 5-year-old KY MTN gaited mare standing at 14.3 and keg shod. Rory has a super smooth four-beat gait and is comfortable in all gears, what’s not to love about her!? Pick a gear any gear, switching back and forth is nothing for her. Step her up then ask her to go back to a walk, no problem, she won’t ride hot. She’s even got a little lope to her for those gaited folks that like to lope. Very controllable, just talk to her. Reverse you ask? Yes, she has the reverse.

She is traffic-safe. Rory has traveled the main highways to country roads and has familiarized herself with those surroundings. From cars to trucks and tractors to ATVs, she’s seen just about all there is to see for a 5-year-old! Let’s not forget the trails. Rory is no stranger to nature. Water, downed limbs, overgrowth, wildlife, any encounter you may come across on a trail she’ll prevail. This mare can be ridden alone or in a group. While in a group she can be ridden front, middle, or back with the same attitude in all three areas. Ride off and leave her by herself and she’s the same horse, as seen in the video. Rory does well in the pasture with other horses and is low on the pecking order. She does all your basic horse tasks, bathing, loading, grooming…. No bad habits, no rear or buck. She takes care of her rider and will be one of the SMOOTHEST horses you’ve ever set a straddle of!
