Cricket

Cricket is a flashy 9 year old, 16 hand Tennessee Walking Horse and Spotted Saddle Horse cross gelding. He’s a beautiful bright red with chrome in all the right places. He loves to get caught and go on another adventure. He is smooth gaited and moves off leg pressure, neck rein, and direct rein. He has impeccable ground manners. He stands quiet to saddle and bridle. Then, he will side pass to a mounting block to pick you up. Cricket rides out alone or in a group. He is willing, calm, and forgiving…. a quick study and GENTLE, GENTLE, GENTLE. He is by far one of the smartest gaited horses we have had the pleasure to own. Our 12 year old enjoys him in the arena and out on the trails. We have used him around the ranch, moving cattle and roping a few as well. We have ridden Cricket in the high Rockies, foothills, open prairie and busy city trails. This has exposed him to wolves, bears, rushing streams, backpackers, bogs, down logs, and barking dogs. He loves pets from people on the trail and is curious, courteous, and outgoing. He is a complete gentleman for the farrier and vet and he gets along well in the pasture in a mixed herd.
