This one here is tough to let go of, but as we always say, “You can’t keep them all!” Blueberry Muffin is a 12.2H, 7-year-old, True Blue Roan Quarter Pony mare who has been with us for almost 2 years. Over those 2 years, she has been rock solid and 100% dependable! She has been ridden daily and sometimes left out in the pasture for up to 3 months and she is still the same respectable lady even after a layoff. All ages have ridden blueberries, even as young as five and ridden by more miniature adults. We have shown her in leadline classes and used her at birthday parties for the kids to ride.

Our kids ages 5-11 have ridden her around the ranch and been out in the pastures to check the cows. The kids like to chase the calves around on her, and she enjoys it, too. She has been trail ridden extensively and goes anywhere Dad’s big horse can go, it doesn’t get too steep or too deep! Blueberry will climb up the steep hills and slide down the other side if need be. She will cross deep water without issues and takes her time on the rocky terrain. The kids have played with her, tracking the roping dummy and trotting/loping her around the barrels. Blueberry does excellent in the herd and is also fine being stalled. She is always the first one to the gate to meet you if she is pastured, and loves attention, whether it’s being brushed or getting all decked out in glitter and braids. Blueberries has nice circles, takes her leads, and reins around some. She tacks up and rides off quietly as well. Blueberry has been a valuable asset to our family, and we are sure she will also be a valuable asset to your family!
