Bold is a 12-year-old registered Friesian Cross gelding that stands 15.1hh, with all the body, substance, shape, and looks you could ask for. This horse is an absolute dream in every way imaginable. He is a rare find and the kind of horse you only get maybe once in a lifetime. Bold has done it all…….he rides western, English, dressage, jumping, is well broke to drive, does pattern work, has roped and dragged calves, miles & miles of trails, ridden in the deserts of Arizona and New Mexico, been used in a lesson program, and has even competed in the EXCA cowboy extreme obstacle races.

He also has a few tricks up his sleeve and will lie down, bow, and have a start to the Spanish walk in hand, and rides bridleless. Carries the flag, will drag anything, goes over or through any obstacle you can think of, you can crack the bullwhip on him, or he will stand or lie down for hours and be a jungle gym for the kids to climb. This gelding is an absolute joy to ride. He is exceptionally smooth and comfortable, definitely more of a push-style horse, but he gives you his all, and the more you ask of him, the more he will impress you. Mature and sound in the mouth, he will ride in a solid bridle bit, snaffle, or full double bridle.

He is highly trained enough that the pro trainers enjoy riding him, yet he can dial it to be 100% safe to pack anyone around. He is one of the prettiest movers we have ever had and it comes naturally to him. Fluid strided, and he naturally engaged through the hind end. He has the most beautiful, soft, and correct lope/canter departures, which are just like butter. He will plod along and pack the kids or beginners; the next minute, he will get as fancy as you want him to. He is as solid as they come on the trails and out in the open. 100% traffic safe, will navigate through the thick brush, tall cornfields, and right through the water. And great in any group, or high trafficked arena. Bold is a total gentleman on the ground and to keep. He’s the horse that you truly enjoy every minute of owning. He will come up and greet you no matter where he is every single time.

Always have a kind, soft eye, and be expressively happy and content. Best minded horse you will find……he’s brilliant and takes to anything new like he has done it his whole life, and he puts up with any shenanigan you can throw at him. He stalls great or lives out in any herd setting and gets along with everyone.. He ties, cross ties, bathes, clips, is excellent for the vet and farrier, and loads and travels like a dream. You won’t even know he’s in the trailer. He is a very easy keeper and the only maintenance he has required in the 6 months he has been here is regular tail trimmings because it grows so fast. In his video you will see it all……..outside riding, traffic, water, all arena work, being ridden by a 7-year-old boy bareback, and driving. And the driving footage shows the first time driven in just over 7 years….he went right back to it like he had been doing it every day.
