When Seconds Count aka Lincoln is a 17H, 15 year old, gelding. Here is a fabulous FUN 3 day eventer/ jumper for an AA or skilled junior rider! It’s been a few years since he’s been in the show ring, but he could quickly go back, legged up. He would also be fabulous for foxhunting! He rides alone or in a group and will jump anything you point him at. He will also ride western and doesn’t mind a backcinch at all. You can ride him down the road bareback and in a halter. I can’t emphasize enough how chill and non-spooky he is on the trails. He is tall, but anyone could handle him on trail rides. The last time he was shown he was CHAMPION in the 3′ jumper division. Lincoln is a lovely thoroughbred gelding with an uphill warmblood type build and puppy dog personality.

He is very sweet and has an honest jump! Lincoln is a fabulous versatile mount- he has done 3-day eventing, has been used as a lesson horse, and has been trail ridden extensively. He had done the preliminary eventers and had jumped up to 1.30m before. Lincoln is very quiet and hauls wonderfully to new environments. This gentle giant goes in a simple snaffle and collects very quickly – after jumping he comes right back to you and collects when asked. He canter on a loose rein, or is happy to collect and ride at the point of contact. He has given flat lunge lessons to kids and is very personable and easy to handle on the ground. I can not emphasize enough how good-minded and versatile this gelding is; he has been exposed to tarps, cows, and traffic and couldn’t be bothered by any of it!

He has a huge personality and would be a happy camper being a little girl’s dressage mount or an AA or juniors upper level jumper/eventer. He is sound, sane, healthy, and UTD on all care. Never offered to buck or rear. He has also never refused a jump. He has an overbite that does NOT affect him physically or in the ring. He gets his teeth routinely floated every year. This gelding is lovely out in the pasture or the barn. Turned out with a herd of horses and is low man on the totem pole. Walks right up to you in the pasture and loads straight into any trailer. Ride him once a year or 5 times a week – he is the same horse every trip. Loves attention and splashing and playing in the pond! Truly a gem to have in the barn.
