A once in a lifetime gelding! Rookie is an absolute gentleman and handsome made draft cross gelding as one could ever hope to find. He’s a big stout, 15.2hh now and growing to around 16hh, 3 years that is fixing to turn 4. This beautiful, good looking blue roan boy is one of those horses we’ve all dreamed about owning. As lovely as he seems, he’s even better on the inside. He is a true gentle and honest horse with the sweetest personality. And has always been that way ever since he was a yearling. He’s very easy on the eyes loping circles in the arena under a western saddle or would look just as good under an English attire.

He is also willing to wear work clothes, head out, and work on the ranch, whether in the branding pen or on a good hard day’s work gathering cattle. He’s the best to ride; he has a smooth, soft handle, nice stops, and is easy to ride. Rookie rides better than most geldings 3Xs his age. He has the best ground manners and will stand as long as you need. Watching how gentle and quiet he is when little ones groom and lead him around is fun. He’s incredibly patient and will do whatever you ask if you want to ride him bridleless and bareback out in the pasture, he’s excellent.

He is easy to catch in a 40-acre pasture and loves being your friend. Rookie has been desensitized to almost anything you can imagine, tarps, plastic bags, whips, dogs, or anything that might look strange to a horse. He excels in every environment. It doesn’t matter if you’re packing him up in the mountains, riding in the arena, or doing ranch work, he’s always the talk of the town. He has excellent potential to go English and do some flat work, or use him as your next big Fox Hunting Friend. No matter what you decide, Rookie always aims to please. He’s an absolute blast to ride and work on with cows. He has carried flags and catches everyone’s eye and emotions. Everyone notices this horse no matter where you are. He’s that kind that will stand out no matter what crowd you’re in. Rookie is a genuine gentle, friendly, loving gelding who likes attention and wants to please you however he can.
