Coconut Candy is a VERY stout built Black Tobiano Registered Friesian Sporthorse mare, standing 15.3-16hh, and weighing 1350lbs, she is 3 years old and certainly is a once in a lifetime type horse! I can’t say enough good things about the mind that this young lady has, she is so bright and so in tune and wants to please that she is just a pleasure to work with and ride. She has been with us for a while and has completed our natural horsemanship program. She has the mind set of a 12 year old, she is so gentle, laid back and steady that anyone will get along with her and have years and years of happy times together!

Candy is trained to sidepass over to a mounting block, trailer fender, tree stump, etc… she will bow down, is very good at laying down and loves to sit! Candy will make nice circles, take the correct leads, and slide stop and back! She also knows all basic reining maneuvers and does them slow and correctly. Candy has a very soft and easy lope! Candy has been started over jumps and has enormous potential for that. She rides English, western, or bareback. She is content to walk along all day if that is all you ask of her. She is a very confident horse that is not spooky around anything or any situation, and she is as close to being bombproof as you’ll see. She has been camping in several states. She has been ridden around cattle and herded and sorted some.

Candy loves attention in any form she can get, whether brushing or bathing, and has a ton of personality! She has been ridden around farm equipment, ATVs, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of her back. No matter where she goes or what she does, Candy is not spooky acting. She has been exposed to all kinds of life, such as deer, turkeys, and other animals like cows and dogs, and she will go anywhere she is asked to. She had ridden many miles in the Kentucky mountains, encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. She will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and all rough terrain while still being sure-footed. She has been driven under harness and is traffic safe as well. You can’t teach a person or animal to have a high IQ… they have to be born with it and Candy was born with a mind that will make her fill your heart with love and joy!
