Are you looking for big, quiet, and extremely comfortable? If so, meet Jones! Jones is a stocky-made, 5-year-old, 16.3hh classical bay Percheron Oldenburg Cross gelding. Jones is THE horse everyone’s looking for but no one can find. He’s big, quiet, user friendly, and has the best personality. Jones loves people, and he waits at the pasture gate for attention. If you walk out in the field to grab another horse, he follows you around like a puppy! He pastures well with mares and geldings and has no stall vices. Jones is very well broken under saddle and to drive. He walks, trots, and canters with ease.

His canter is the most comfortable thing you will ever sit on and he’s got his flying changes down pat! He moves very well off the seat and leg ques. He has been ridden English, western, bareback, and dressage. He has many buttons, beautiful movement, and a mind to match! Grab him from the field, give him a bubble bath, take him to a show, then a camping trip, then hook him up and take a stroll around the countryside and he acts like an old pro at all jobs. Jones has been trail ridden all over Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, and some of Iowa! He’s been camping, picketed, crossed water, roads, and bridges all on a long rein!

You can ride him in just a halter and lead as he moves off of seat and leg very easily. It is more of a chill, go-with-the-flow kind of ride. Jones has also been exposed to some beautiful fox hunt country and has been on several hunter paces. He fills the shoes of a hunt horse beautifully. He has also been driven in a team and alone! He’s slow and steady in harness and will gladly let you hook him to anything you may want to drive! He is currently working over fences and jumps in great form. He has all the attributes to make a competitive hunter. Jones is so kind and quiet, he’s doubling as a lesson horse until he finds his person.
